The Sonics only problem thus far has been Vladimir Radmanovic’s hair. Eastern European Men are not meant to have braids. He even color coordinated the bands to match his uniform. That was cute when I use to watch my high school girlfriend’s field hockey games but not quite what you expect from a former first round draft pick. I’m not saying Seattle should dump Vladimir like Brooke dumped me, but maybe they should tell him to stop going to Supercuts.

So what does that tell you when I have just spent an entire paragraph talking about a man’s hair? That means the Sonics are playing great ball. All year they’ve been told they were undermanned and undersized and now Nate McMillan has them two games from the second round. Not bad for a man who was on the hot-seat the first part of the season and a team that was picked by most to finish out of the playoffs.

Are the Kings done? No, but they aren’t making it any easier on themselves.

The Kings are in a much large hole. The Sonics have had leads of over 20 points in both games. Tuesday night Sacramento was down 26 after the third quarter. They only made it respectable when the starters were benched and the reserves went on a 17-2 run.

The Kings are relying heavily on the three pointer. They have already shot 41 in the first two games. But the three is only good if you make it and that has happened only 9 times. For the Kings to at least make this a contest they have increase their output from behind the arc.

So what does this mean? If Kings are able to shore up their production and win Game 3, they’ll find themselves back in their respective series. However if they lose, they might as well head to South Beach and watch Shaq advance to yet another finals.
